Eating Disorder Therapy

Whether you are in the beginning stages of exploring your relationship with food or have been actively engaged in a recovery journey, we can work together to identify what support you are needing right where you are.

What is eating disorder therapy?

Therapy for eating disorders can have many different components and needs to be individualized depending on each person’s needs. I believe that regardless of the approach, autonomy needs to be at the foundation of this work; I will never tell you that you have to participate in any treatment approaches that are not a fit for you and your goals.

Much of this work is about education. Disordered eating behaviors are deeply rooted in systems of oppression and diet culture; in order to heal, we must first unlearn the biases that affect how we see the world and how it’s turned us on ourselves. Together, we can explore the language and messages we have been taught by our own systems and unpack whether these messages align with the values you want to live by.

The only prerequisite for getting help
is a curiosity for what could be different.

Eating disorders exist on a spectrum.

I work with the following diagnoses:

• Other Specified Eating Disorder (OSFED)
• Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa
• Binge Eating Disorder (BED)
• Avoidant and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

Additionally, I work with anyone who feels in need of support or guidance with their relationship with food. It is important to recognize that any relationship with food that causes distress is deserving of support.
